Pharmacist Prescribing
What drugs can pharmacists prescribe?
Pharmacist prescribing describes a wide range of activities:

Prescribing drugs to treat minor, self-diagnosed or self-limiting disease conditions; adjusting dosages and dosage forms;

Pharmacists may prescribe all Schedule 1 drugs and blood products. There are no list of drugs; instead, all pharmacists are expected to limit their prescribing to situations where they have an adequate understanding of the patient, the condition being treated, and the drug being prescribed.

Monitoring and refilling prescriptions to ensure appropriate and effective care;

Providing emergency supplies of previously prescribed medication; and

Comprehensive drug therapy management where the pharmacist, working with other health professionals, takes full responsibility for establishing and maintaining a patient’s chronic drug therapy.

Clomid and Serophene Compound
We’ll Take Care of It
Clomid 50mg (by Sanofi Aventis) and Serophene 50mg (by EMD Serono) had been discontinued by their respective manufacturers.
At Glengarry Pharmacy, we understand the demand and importance of these two prescription medications as they are often prescribed as the first step towards infertility treatment. As a result of the shortage, our pharmacy offers a compounded equivalent called Clomiphene and we have been dispensing Clomiphene to Alberta patients since 2015.

Free Delivery Service
The Service You’re Looking for
Glengarry Pharmacy has been a community pharmacy in Edmonton for over 40 years. We serve many special needs patients such as Group Home patients, and Senior patients. We offer free delivery prescription service within most part of the city of Edmonton.
As our city continues to grow in size, there may be a small delivery cost to certain newer local area residents. For residents of St. Albert and Sherwood Park, there will be a small delivery cost. Delivery service is offered between 9AM to 5PM Monday to Friday (time of delivery is not guaranteed).
